Show trials like the one Giuliani Sgrena is bringing against a US soldier in an Italian court are the reason why the United States should never sign onto the International Criminal Court. This is also a textbook case of courts straying into areas where they have neither expertise nor jurisdiction. The Italians should be ashamed of this judge for his publicity hunting.
As for Sgrena, has she forgotten that it is only due to US troops that she ever saw Italy again? Probably. She is a confirmed anti-American, hard-left Stalinist apologizer and if she isn't ashamed of herself for this naked money grab, then perhaps her government should be.
