Media Focuses on Hsu Flight - Not Finances

I have been following the strange (and mostly unreported) case of fugitive criminal and major Democratic Party fundraiser Norman Hsu since September 5. Paul Mirengoff of the Power Line blog has a post today wherein he notes that the mainstream media, led by the Wall Street Jornal, are finally taking the time to look into Hsu's attempted flight from justice. However, as Mirengoff pointedly notes,
I think the pertinent questions are: Where did the money come from? And why was it so important to Norman Hsu that Hillary Clinton become president?

This is all too true. And as NewsBusters contributing editor Warner Todd Huston wrote ealier today, even the New York Times admits that the media is not doing a good job of cov ering the Hsu scandal. I am still waiting for one of the so-called major media organs to actually devote some investigative resources to delving into the root of Hsu's money. The man appears to have absolutely no real source of income, and even the MSM admits that his listed addresses appear to be at best distantly related to the man himself. So where did his money come from? I am ssure that with all those levels of editors and the resources to sspend so much time on the Larry Craig scandal, the MSM can find someone to discover the answers to these two questions raised by Mirengoff. Anyone in the MSM? Anyone at all?

Hat tip to Power Line. Cross-posted on NewsBusters.
